A Virtual 24hr Running Challenge

18-19 July 2020

VR24 was amazing!  Thanks to everyone that took part.

Covid-19 might've put the brakes on our Conti Thunder Run event this year but it couldn't stop VR24 going ahead.  An amazing bunch of runners from all walks of life set themselves their own challenges to conquer over 24hrs on the weekend of 18/19 July 2020.  We had some people only take up running in lockdown and work up to their first ever 10km, through to experienced ultra runners that managed to cover more than 100 miles within the time limit.

The VR24 community was the best part of the weekend though.  All the runners were so supportive of each other, appreciating the efforts and endeavours each and every one of them put in towards achieving their own personal goals.  Old friends managed to run together (socially distanced) and heckle each other online, plus new friendships were forged.  We can't wait to have everyone running together again next year when, fingers crossed, things will be back to normal.

How it works - Run & Share

Run

It's simple - run as much as you can between midday on Saturday 18th July and midday Sunday 19th July.  Go wherever you can providing it is safe and sensible to do so.

Share

Get involved with the online community of others taking part in VR24.  Upload stats of your runs to the VR24 Facebook and Strava groups.  Post photos & updates of your experiences.  Comment on others adventures.  Inspire each other and enjoy everything that is great about running and the running community.

Winners

We think you're all winners!  Every participant will recieve a commemorative medal as a memento of the challenge.  On top of that we are gathering together a prize list to award to the best posts.  VR24 is a challenge not a race, so as such there is no podium and no published results.  It's all about being postive and remaining active.
